With funding support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the World Health Organization (WHO) developed an advocacy material packages as an IEC Toolkit/Job Aid on Maternal and Neonatal Health for use by the Barangay Health Team which is, under the Universal Health Care (UHC) are called the Primary Health Care (PHC) Team composed mostly of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), together with midwives, the barangay captains and other volunteers assisting and supporting the health sector.
The IEC Toolkit/Job Aid Tool will serve as a visual guide in conducting the health education during the recommended seven home visits from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and up to the first 28 days postpartum. It contains key messages to help the target audience to gain or enhance their awareness and knowledge of their own health and of their family.
WHO engaged SIKAP to provide technical assistance to conduct Training of the PHC Team on IEC Toolkit/Job Aid Tool covering the Province of Agusan del Sur and Davao Region XI.

- August 8-11, 2020 – DOP Inter Local Health Zone (Municipalities of Prosperidad, Rosario, and San Francisco
- August 15-18, 2022 – VGP Inter Local Health Zone (Municipalities of Loreto, Veruela, Sta. Josefa, Trento, and Bunawan)
- August 22-25, 2022 – TALASAN (Talacogon, La Paz and San Luis)
- September 5-8, 2022 – Bayugan ILHZ (Bayugan City, Esperanza, and Sibagat) with the participation of the Safe Motherhood Managers, BHWs Coordinators, and HEPO from the DOH Region XIII, Provincial Health Office of Agusan del Norte and Surigao del Sur respectively.
