Three (3) batches on the Training of Trainers on the Use of IEC Job Aid for the Barangay Health Team held at the Home Crest Hotel, Ecoland, Davao City were successfully completed on:
- August 23-26, 2022 for Davao Occidental
- August 30 – September 2, 2022 for Davao del Sur
- September 6-9, 2022 for Davao del Norte
The IEC Toolkit/Job Aid Tool will serve as a visual guide in conducting the health education during the recommended seven home visits from pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, and up to the first 28 days postpartum. It contains key messages to help the target audience to gain or enhance their awareness and knowledge of their own health and of their family developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
Prior to the trainings, a workshop with resource persons from the 5 provinces and Davao City was conducted to level-off topics, process, and tasking held on August 16-17, 2022 participated by the Provincial HEPO and MNCHN and BHW Coordinators with technical inputs from the DOH Regional Safe Motherhood Manager and BHW/IP Coordinator, Doctor and Nurse from NCIP Region XI, WHO and SIKAP Team.
